The following interactive plots show the covid-19 cases and deaths for the 50 largest U.S. counties. Virus data from The New York Times (available here), based on reports from state and local health agencies. County population data from United States Census Bureau, obtained here (.csv file). The target of 25 cases over a two week period per 100 thousand people is based on reopening criteria used by several states (e.g. Washington), in order to allow meaninful comparisons across all counties.
